Public Information

Our Purpose

As the Northern Counties Area Public Information Subcommittee our aim is to carry out our Fifth Tradition: “Our primary purpose is to carry the message to the addict who still suffers,” with the proposition that no addict seeking recovery need die without having a chance to find a better way of life. We do this by providing information about Narcotics Anonymous to the public, to professionals who come in contact with addicts, and to the addicts themselves. We fulfill our goals in accordance with our Eleventh Tradition: “Our public relations policy is based on attraction rather than promotion. We need always maintain personal anonymity at the level of press, radio and films.”

The Public Information Subcommittee meets at 12:00pm on the second Sunday of the month.
